Lockpicking Workshop

DU Pirate Party were delighted to host a lockpicking workshop for its members on Thursday the 21st of February. For the workshop, we got a hobbyist lockpicker from Tog to come in with a number of sets of lockpicks.

He started off with explaining about different types of picks that can be used, and different methods. He then proceeded to hand out sets of picks and a lock to everyone, who had to be grouped into pairs due to a lack of lockpicks, and then demonstrated how to pick a lock.

We were thrilled to see so many of our members at the event, with most attendees managing to pick at least one lock by the end of the workshop.

Avast!

On the 8th of February, DU Pirate Party held their traditional Avast! event. We all headed to the pub to discuss a number of different topics, ranging from current issues such as abortion, to less serious topics such as fat content in milk, over pints and platters.

DU Pirate Party would like to thank all who came to our even. Much fun was had all around and everyone got a say in what they wanted. We would also like to thank, yet again, the Long Stone pub for their lovely hospitality and platters.
